AI Builder Program for Muslim Students in Grades 6–12
EdAI’s Builder Program is a 12-week, faith-centered program for Muslim students in grades 6–12. Students move from an idea or a problem they have noticed toward a first working product through practical building, testing and feedback. Prior coding experience is not required. Taught by Dr. Azeez Idris. The online cohort starts Sunday, November 15, 2026 and meets Sundays, 10:30 AM–12:00 PM PT (Pacific Time). Tuition is $1,200 per student. EdAI provides a faith-centered environment where Muslim students connect building with intention, service, responsibility, excellence, honesty, benefit to others and amanah — responsible stewardship. Students consider whether what they build is permissible and genuinely beneficial, and learn to treat users and collaborators with honesty and respect.

How Builder Differs From EdAI’s Other Programs
These are EdAI’s three core programs:
- World View Program — 8 weeks, grades 6–12. Helps students explore consequential fields and important real-world problems.
- Builder Program — 12 weeks, grades 6–12. Helps students move from a problem or idea toward a working AI-enabled product.
- Founder Program — 12 weeks, grades 6–12. For students who have already built something: customers, demand, outreach and founder judgment.
Summer Summit and First-Dollar
- Summer Summit — EdAI’s flagship experience for Muslim teen builders and founders.
- First-Dollar — A selective 30-day continuation available to eligible participants from the Summer Summit or qualifying partner experiences. Not one of the three core programs. Selection, participation and outcomes are not guaranteed.

Does a student need an idea before joining?

Does a student need coding or AI experience?
No. Prior coding experience is not required; students learn by building, starting from where they are.
What will students work toward?
A clearly scoped problem and user; a functional prototype or product; feedback from relevant users; improvements based on that feedback; a demo explaining what was built and what was learned. These are the intended deliverables, not guarantees — progress depends on participation and the scope of the project.

Dr. Azeez Idris, Co-Founder and CEO, EdAI. Muslim professionals from technology companies also mentor students; mentor participation varies by cohort.

How is the Builder Program different from the Founder Program?
Builder is for students starting from an idea or problem and working toward a first functional product. Founder is for students who have already built something and want to test demand, find customers and grow it. Fit is based on where a student is starting from, not on grade.
What comes after the Builder Program?
A Builder student who finishes with a working product can later consider the Founder Program, subject to readiness and availability. Progression is not automatic, and EdAI does not promise internships, funding or admission to selective programs.
